Max Frank Music is dedicated to bringing fine music to discerning connoisseurs.
And we are proud to have as our first release the latest recording by Terry Vosbein, Progressive Jazz 2009.
Combining unknown titles from the library of Stan Kenton with bold original sounds from the pen of Vosbein, all incredibly performed by the Knoxville Jazz Orchestra, this CD packs 78 minutes of must-hear music.
Guest conductor Vosbein takes the band through their paces on seven never previously recorded compositions and arrangements written for Kenton by Pete Rugolo and Bob Graettinger. Add to the mix Vosbein’s own six contributions from sixty years later and you have a baker’s dozen of tasty delights.
In addition, jazz ensembles and composer/arrangers will be interested in the scores and parts of several Vosbein originals, which are also available.
